Departure from Germany/Switzerland/Austria to Tanzania
Day 2:
Arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport and transfer to perfectly located lodge in Moshi or Arusha. Overnight stay at Meru Simba Lodge or Protea Hotel.
Day 3:
Visit of the impressive church of Kibosho. Following, short hike to Materuni waterfall and visit of the Chagga Family. Overnight stay at Simba Lodge or Protea Hotel.
Day 4:
Start from Arusha/Moshi. Three hours drive to Tarangire NP. After arrival, game drive within the scenic park with its many Baobab trees. The NP accommodates the highest concentration of wildlife outside of the Serengeti! You can observe elephant herds, which can reach a maximum number of up to 300 members. At around 4pm, drive to Karatu and overnight stay at the beautiful Endoro or Rhotia Valley Lodge.
Day 5:
After breakfast, game drive of about three hours into the Serengeti. With the entry into the Serengeti, your game drive within the most popular National Park in Africa starts. With a bit of luck, you might be able to experience the great wildebeest and zebra migration. Overnight stay at the beautiful Lobo Lodge (incl. Pool), which is built into a rock wall.
Day 6:
Day Safari - game drive within the Serengeti. Overnight stay in the lovely, perfectly situated Seronera Lodge.
Day 7:
Early drive to Ngorongoro crater and game drive within the world famous crater which has a diameter of 20km. Around 4pm, drive out of the crater and to Karatu to the Endoro or Rhotia Valley lodge which are both situated in the primeval forest.
Day 8:
Short drive to the lake Manyara National Park. This small National Park is situated directly next to the African fracture zone and next to the lake Manyara and offers wildlife including elephants, buffalos, giraffes, hippos, antelopes as well as the famous lions which sit in trees. Afterwards, at about 1pm, return to Arusha/Moshi to your pre-booked accommodations.
Day 9:
Drive to the authentic Masai village “Olpopongi“. Here, you receive an extensive introduction into the life and culture of the Masai and experience a typical daily routine. You receive a traditional lunch, undertake a safari by foot across the Masai steppe, receive an insight into hunting techniques of the Masai and their unique traditional natural medicine. In the evening, return to your lodge in Arusha or Moshi.
Day 10:
Transfer to Kilimanjaro Airport and flight back to Europe.
